Housing for the conference will be at the Homestead Hotel and the Margarita Inn in Evanston. If you are booking your own room, mention the conference while doing so to get the best rate. Note that as of 10/1, the Homestead is now fully booked, but the Margarita Inn still has some rooms. Should this also be fully booked (or should you wish to stay in Chicago), please contact the organizers for further suggestions.
To reach either hotel from O'Hare Airport we recommend that you call 303 Taxi from the airport (after collecting your luggage) at 888 CALL-303 (888 225-5303), or dial 30 on the airport courtesy phone. The dispatcher will give you instructions on how to meet your cab. The rate from the airport is fixed at $32, not including tip.
Both hotels are within walking distance from the meeting.
Weekend talks will be held in Tech LR3 on the Northwestern campus; this room is in the Technological Institute, at 2145 Sheridan Rd. (Click here for a campus map.) The Monday and Tuesday sessions will be held in the James room on the top floor of the Hotel Orrington in downtown Evanston at 1710 Orrington Ave.
Parking on the Northwestern campus is free on weekends.
