Research Statement

Preprints : Spin Hurwitz numbers and topological quantum field theory, 1201.1273

Research Interests : My research centres around Geometric Representation Theory, Homotopy Theory, and Microlocal Geometry. More generally, I am interested in various aspects of Algebraic Geometry, Algebraic Topology, and Mathematical Physics. Recently I have been thinking about:

• Spin topological field theories and Hurwitz numbers (see preprints above).
• The topology of character varieties via character sheaves (with David Ben-Zvi and David Nadler).
• Categories of constructible sheaves and generalizations of string topology (with David Treumann).

Together with Chris Elliott and David Nadler, I organized a masterclass in Gauge Theory, January 9th to 13th, 2012 at Northwestern University.
