In the summer, all the colleges of the University combine their course offerings into a single catalog, published by the Office of Summer Session and Special Programs. Thus, it is the one time of the academic year that courses offered by other colleges are available to continuing SPS students at SPS's tuition rate, and without special permission. Students who register for their first NU course during the summer, as students at large, and later register with SPS, will receive the amount of summer course credit granted to non-SPS students. Students should clarify with an adviser the credit available for Summer Session courses, as well as the applicability of those courses to SPS certificate and degree programs.
