NUAWM (NU ASSOCIATION OF WOMEN IN MATHEMATICS)

NUAWM is an undergraduate student group to bring together those who identify as women in math, statistics, applied math, and statistics. We welcome anyone interested in coming to our meetings.  More information on this group will be updated.

"These events help graduate students meet other female math majors and discuss shared experiences. Through dinners and talks, we also have the opportunity to meet female faculty. This creates a supportive network of both mentors and peers for aspiring female mathematicians.”   (Araminta Gwynne)

“Connecting with other students and faculty outside of the classroom helps establish a sense of camaraderie, support, and positive energy when we're in class and/or studying.  It strengthens my sense of connection, confidence, and comfort within the Department of Mathematics and mathematics in general" (Kimberly Clinch)
