Fall 2025 Undergraduate Colloquium

  • The Fall NU Math UG Colloquium will be held on Wed, Oct 15th at 5:30p in Lunt 105, with guest speaker, Prof. Wouter Van Limbeek (UIC).  The title of the talk is "The Banach-Tarski paradox, pyramid schemes, and non-amenable groups." 

46th Midwest Colloquium 

  • The Midwest Probability Colloquium has been an annual event for several decades, bringing together a wide-breadth of knowledge in the field of probability.  Probability theory has been the most applicable branch of pure mathematics. Sponsors of the Midwest Probability Colloquium are the National Science Foundation and Northwestern University.
  • Northwestern University will host the 46th Midwest Colloquium Oct 9-11, 2025.

Bellow Academic Memorial

  • The Bellow Academic Memorial will be a special event to celebrate the profound impact and scholarly contributions of Professor Alexandra Bellow. The memorial will take place on April 7th, 2026 and will be followed by our annual Bellow Lecture Series, which will be delivered by Corinna Ulcigrai (University of Zurich) April 8-10, 2026. Zurich) on April 8th, 9th, and 10th. The specific location for this event will be announced closer to the date.
