Yuchen Liu

Biography

Yuchen Liu received his PhD from Princeton University in 2017. He was a Gibbs Assistant Professor at Yale University and a Visiting Assistant Professor at Princeton University. Liu then joined the faculty of Northwestern in 2021.

Liu works in algebraic geometry and its connections to complex geometry and commutative algebra. His research focuses on Fano varieties, K-stability, moduli spaces and singularities. Liu was named a 2022 Alfred P. Sloan Fellow.
